My April Counterfeit Kit – Blog Hop Reveal!

Hello! Welcome to the April Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Design Team Hop Reveal!  You should have arrived here via Jemma at Just Jimjams, and I shall send you onwards to see more lovely kits at the end of this post!

Before we get to the kit – did you notice that this blog, Jennifer Grace Creates, is a new blog for me? I used to blog at Jennifer’s Jumbles, but I will be blogging here from now on. I post a Giveaway yesterday to celebrate the new blog, so go check that out HERE, and don’t forget to sign up and follow me!

This month we are counterfeiting the Gossamer Blue March Kit. I loved the bold reds and yellows in their kit, and I already had some of the Color Me Happy collection to start my kit from. Here’s my bright kit – I know this one will make me want to scrapbook some summer photos.

My April Kit:

April Main Kit

Here are my papers and alphas:

April Papers

12×12″ Papers: Paper Pizazz ‘Black Destinations’, Echo Park Hello Summer ‘Red/Yellow’, Teresa Collins ‘Journal Notes’, Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 ‘Borders’, Glitz Design Color Me Happy ‘Bits & Pieces’, Crate Paper Paper Heart ‘Delivery’, Rusty Pickle ‘Pashmina’, Die Cuts With a View ‘Taj Mahal’, a striped piece from Papermania (I can’t remember the collection), and a piece of white transclucent paper. There’s also a a 12″ tall piece of Echo Park Eveyday Ecclectic Paper (red chevrons) which is a few inches wide.

6×6″ Papers: From Glitz Design Color Me Happy, Papermania Happy Days, Bazzill Basics Papers Avalon, and Crate Paper Portrait.

Alphas: Papermania Capsule ‘Cranberry and Apple’ Alphas, American Crafts ‘Cupboard’ Thickers, Simple Stories Sn@p Mini Alphas, Glitz Design White Tenny Alphas.

My tags and stickers:

Tags and Stickers

Including Crate Paper Storyteller Tag Cuts and Border Stickers, Echo Park Everyday Eclectic Element Stickers and Alpha Stickers, American Crafts Remarks Adhesive Chalk Labels, a lot of Elle’s Studio Tags from various collections including Day to Day and The Sweet Life, Jenni Bowlin Memo Quilted Stickers, a Pink Paislee Portfolio Ephemera Tag, A Glitz Design Uncharted Waters Title Sticker and ‘Bits & Pieces’ Journal Card, plus a couple of strips of heart paper from the Color Me Happy 6×6 pad.

Other Embellishments and Stamps:

SONY DSC

Including American Crafts ‘Thanks’ stamps, Elle’s Studio ‘Exclusive Christmas’ ‘Right Here’ and Note Tab’ Stamps, a couple of branding strips from Elle’s Studio Day to Day Papers, a piece of white cardstock cut with a Tim Holtz ‘Filmstrip’ Die (which I think may have been Jemma’s – borrowed at the Crafty Blogger’s Retreat!), some My Mind’s Eye Kraft Funday Twine, Papermania ‘Shimmer Heart Dome’ Stickers, Glitz Color Me Happy Giant Rhinestones, My Mind’s Eye My Girl Enamel Dots, a few black gems, a couple of Freckled Fawn ‘Speech Bubble’ Wood Chips, some Studio Calico ‘Tiny Stars’ Wood Veneers, some Scrap & Create ‘Woodgrain Pattern’ Flair, a Glitz Uncharted Waters ‘Bits & Pieces’ Journal Card, a Glitz ‘Chevron’ Roller Doodle Stamp, an alphabet wood stamp (unknown brand), some yellow-striped ribbon, My Mind’s Eye All is Bright red Washi Tape, Freckled Fawn ‘Yellow Airmail’ Washi Tape, some black word beads, some watch parts, a length of red ribbon and a length of black measuring tape ribbon, and some homemade tidbits.

Also, for the first time this month, I’ve made myself an Add-On Kit. I was inspired by the Gossamer Blue Color Kit, which I think is an amazing idea! But I already had enough black in my kit, so I chose a different current colour obsession instead (probably partly fuelled by Ashley Calder’s current Trending Series) – Gold!

My Gold Colour Add-On Kit:

I can’t wait to add some shine and shimmer to my projects this month with all this gold!

My gold kit features: some handmade ruffle trim, Paper Cellar glitter Alphas, a sheet of gold translucent paper, a gold cake base from a store-bought cake, a piece of cream paper with gold glittery dots, gold sequins, a gold pen, some loose glitter, acrylic paint, liquid pearls, and glitter glue, American Crafts Gold Glitter Zing Embossing Powder, Freckled Fawn Wide Gold Airmail Washi Tape, Anchor Artiste Metallic Gold Crochet Thread, American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape, Some irridescent ribbon with gold edging, some cream ribbon with gold stars (thanks Sarah!), 5 gold skeleton leaves, 2 puffy gold stars and a handful of small gold chipboard stars, some brass metal hearts (I found two more in a different heart shape after I took this photo), Heidi Swapp Gold Lame Color Shine Spritz and some pre-misted doilies and cardstock circles, a gold VersaColour ink pad, some gold coloured wire, and a crocheted flower.

There will be more details on these Handmade Embellishments posted tomorrow (2nd April):
