Lucky Charm was lucky for me!
Hello! Today I want to tell you about some luck I had which made me happy…
Back at the start of May I wrote this post, about all the National Scrapbooking Day activities taking place online. One of the links I mentioned was for Scrapbook.com, which was a site I hadn’t heard of until then, but they had lots and lots of challenges going on that day, so I joined in a couple of them. One of the challenges was a ‘Snail Mail’ challenge to make a set of 6 cards which all had the same theme, so I made this set of love cards using mainly a Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm 12×12 Paper Pad:
This one is my favourite from the set – I gave it to my husband for our anniversary on the 17th of May:
And it turns out that Lucky Charm was very Lucky for me, because I won a prize – there were 100 prizes worth over $178 each for the challenge winners, and I got one of them!
I didn’t really believe the prize could be that huge until it arrived. I didn’t open it for weeks as I wanted to save it to open on my birthday, but my husband checked it to make sure it had arrived okay, and he pulled out a couple of little bits to give me to give me a taster of the goodies inside. Then I was a very good girl and didn’t peek at the rest until my birthday on the 24th of June. This is one of the best birthday presents I’ve ever opened:
How chock-full of goodies is that?! You can bet I was jumping up and down for joy. It took me a while to get round to photographing it and integrating it into my stash to use, but I’ve opened most of the packets now. I was super excited about the Smash book and bits as I’ve wanted one since they were released, now I just have to decided whether to use it to record our summer, or whether to save it for my LSNED album this year!
Thanks very much to Scrapbook.com, not just for the prize but for the fun challenges and chat on NSD too!
Bye for now, Jennifer x
