Harvest Celebration Layout
Have you wondered why I haven’t posted very often lately? There’s a couple of reasons – 1. My son no longer naps in the daytime. Plus he has reached a terror-of-destruction phase. I spend all day clearing up after him, and I’m so exhausted once he and his big sister have gone to bed! 2. When I have managed to craft, I’ve been preparing for my next blog event, Frosty Festivities – look out for an announcement about this and a giveaway tomorrow!
So life is hectic right now, but that’s okay. Cheeky boy starts a day or two of pre-school in January so I’m enjoying his bustle while he’s around, but also looking forward to a bit of peace and quiet once he starts!
In the meantime, I have a layout to share with you, which was in the Fall Issue of PaperHaus Magazine…
The photo shows my daughter’s scarecrow hat for her Harvest Celebration at school last fall. I wanted the page to feel abundantly autumnal too, so I clustered lots of flowers, buttons, and gems in orange hues.
The cute resin owl at the top left is from Freckled Fawn, I added some black pearls to the eyes so it wasn’t so lost among the other embellishments:
I layered a bow (with another glittered centre) on top of a cork sticker by Little Yellow Bicycle, I like the contrasting textures:
I also glittered the edges of a Carta Bella journaling card to give it some oomph:
Now I’m looking forward to this year’s Harvest Celebration, which takes place next week. My daughter has been practising her song!
How’s autumn looking where you are? Jennifer x
