CHA Winter 2014 Products Picks!
Hello, happy Monday!
I know it’s been a while now since the CHA show in January, but I have been busy since then moving house, so I hadn’t had time to pull together my product picks. I always like to share what I’m excited about, so I can remember what I want when the items start arriving in the UK, and to let you know in case you’ve missed something I think is ah-mazing!
I’m going to start with collections that I like as a whole, then I’ll move on to individual items that caught my eye. This is a long post, sorry!
(Click on the collection name, or the product photos, for a link to the manufacturer’s blog.)
This collection makes me smile every time I look at it! The colours are perfect, especially the multicoloured raindrops! I like how there’s a little bit of chalkboard style but it definitely doesn’t dominate. I also love the phrases like ‘Be The Rainbow’!
And these Puffy Stickers are so cute:
My Mind’s Eye
I like lots of the MME releases, especially the Record It! ones, but Just Splendid stands out to me as something fresh, crisp and playful. I think I’ll love the patterns in the pad for all kinds of projects.
Plus the Woodgrain Enamel Dots are CALLING ME!!!
Glitz grabbed my attention again with this groovy collection! I just love the original colour combination, and again the phrases really grabbed me, like ‘oh baby it’s a wild world’. It’s a bit eclectic but so cool.
I’m especially in love with this sheet of paper, of which I’ll probably buy one to use and one to hoard for evermore:
This collection is just so clever! It gets inspiration from all the social media we use, but the collection will be totally useful for people who don’t use FB and Twitter (etc) too! The colours are gorgeously bright and bold. I like both sides of all the patterned papers (especially the ‘2 Parts Tweet’ sheet), which doesn’t happen often for me!
I can’t wait to get my hands on these stamps from the line, I like all of them and can definitely see the ‘#epic’, ‘#lovethis’ and ‘#happyday’ stamps being my go-to stamps for a while!
Chickaniddy Crafts is a new brand on the block for this CHA, though the owner Heidi Sonboul is an industry professional. She released two collections, and this one is my favourite. Date Night is really dreamy and sweet, and I like the variety of bits and pieces to catch your eye.
The Enamel Hearts will be scattered on my layouts and cards as soon as I can get hold of them!
This collection is quite pretty as a whole – I like the ‘real-life’ images I’ve seen more that the product images though, as the colours seem a bit too neon here but softer in reality! There’s a couple of papers which I’m aching to play with (Circles and Ombre Circles).
The embellishments are all lovely too, including these wood shapes which have a great mixture:
There’s lots to like in the Essentials range, but my favourite are the Geotags, especially the Woodgrain and Gold ones:
Styleboard is similar to Maggie Holmes’ other collections, but as I skipped her last collection I think it’s okay for me to buy some of this one! I really really want the sequins:
And the Corkboard Speciality Paper should be fun to experiment with:
This collection really is dreamy with soft colours and sweet details. I like lots of it but my favourite bit is these 3D glitter bows:
This line is bold and fun, and the best bit is the Gold Vellum Map Paper which made me squeal a bit when I saw it:
This collection is so summery it makes me long for sunny days! These wood veneer ‘Sequins’ are the coolest bit though:
I’m using stamps more and more on my pages and cards lately, and I love these stamp and stencil sets that Jillibean Soup are coming out with! Especially this Birthday set as I need more birthday sentiments and I love the ‘Party’ bunting:
Oh be still my heart – these wood sprinkles look stunning! You know how much I’m drawn to the bling! When I saw the product images of these I just didn’t get it, but when I saw this CHA wreath I was super excited by the sparkle and shine!
Yes, Jillibean Soup have lots I love right now! These Mini Placemats are brilliant, especially if you’d love to own a silhouette and don’t (like me!). I like this set the most, it’s perfect for cards or layout accents (or pocket style scrapping!):
The Our Travels collection is lovely, but it’s these globes which made my jaw drop! I want them. I don’t know how I will use them as they may be a bit bulky but I want them anyway!
Also worth mentioning…
I won’t include any more photos as I think this post is getting a bit long! But here’s a few more things I think are worth looking at if you have the time:
American Crafts Thickers Binder (This link take you to May Flaum’s blog where she mentioned it, I can’t find it elsewhere at the moment).
Jillibean Soup’s Beanboard Alphas (Chipboard alphas you can staple, stamp, stitch etc).
Crate Paper Boys Rule I like this collection for boys because it can work for a variety of ages, including a lot of grown up boys!
Shimelle Laine’s Collection with American Crafts. I don’t know much about this yet, but it’s designed by Shimelle so it should be fabulous!
Okay, I’m sure there’s more but that will do for now, don’t you think?! What have you got your eye on from the new releases?
UK peeps, some of this is already in at SJ Crafts, including the Teresa Collins Daily Stories Collection. And there will be some other bits arriving too – check out the ‘Coming Soon’ Page!
I hope you have a great week,
