Bead Buddies Pink Layout
(This post is part of my Frosty Festivities 2013 Blog Event)
This photo of my daughter and her best friend making bead bracelets for each other needed a lot of pink!
Bead Buddies:
They look so cute in their snugly winter sleepwear. I decided polka-dots was the perfect partner for all the pink on this page, so I went through the Crate Paper Bundled Up collection, searching for as many polka dots as possible! I found the Noel sheet for the background, a sheet with pink dots on a blue background in the 6×6 Pad, some polka-dot frames from the Ephemera, and a dotty Journal Card too!
I knew I wanted to use lots of snowflakes from the Chipboard Elements too, so I layered the title onto my photo so it didn’t take up too much space:
I found this ‘Elf and Safety’ wood veneer at Hobbycraft, and I’d been waiting for the perfect place to use it:
There’s a blank label at the bottom of the page because I’m going to use it to right the girl’s names on.
When I originally planned the page I had the whole thing on a pink background paper, but I really wanted to use this ‘baby it’s cold outside’ journal card, so I changed the background paper just for that! There would have been too much pink otherwise:
The page is sweet and girly, but still nice and wintry!
Be Inspired:
Use lots of pink on a winter project
Overlap your title onto your photo
Choose as many polka-dot elements as possible
See you again soon, Jennifer x
