A Giveaway {NOW CLOSED}! Sponsored by Beartown Zodiac

(This post is part of my Onwards and Upwards Blog Event)

It’s time for another giveaway {NOW CLOSED}! This one is something quite different, as it’s sponsored by some friend’s of mine, and there’s a choice of prizes – one for a local person, and one prize that can be posted anywhere.

You’ve heard me mention Rosie’s husband David, and my friend Ali, earlier in my Family Goals post. Well, they are two members of an awesome band called Beartown Zodiac!

Here’s the band (David and Ali are on the left, the other two are called Matt and Tiff):

I wanted to feature them as part of the weekend as I’m so proud of how they are doing right now – the band is truly moving onwards and upwards! They have lots of gigs this year, and their first EP, Kareoke Bites, is going to be released this coming Friday (17th May). It can be pre-ordered already on Amazon, Itunes, and Play.com. Here’s the video for Kareoke Bites on You Tube… I helped Rosie to make the video:

Fun isn’t it?!

So the band are doing a gig next weekend, on Saturday the 18th of May, at The Louisiana, Bristol. And they want me to give a pair of tickets away to someone who’d like to come to the gig!

The winner will also receive one goody bag filled with these fabulous items when they turn up:

SONY DSC

Which includes a bear finger puppet hand-knitted by Ali, and a copy of the EP! It may feature some homecooked chocolate bites too!

But if you don’t live close enough for the Bristol gig, don’t worry, Beartown Zodiac are also giving away one of these goody bags for me to post anywhere in the world- I’m afraid it won’t include the chocolate bites though as we don’t think they’d survive the journey!

All you have to do to try and win one of these prizes {GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED}, is to tell me what you think of the music video, or just comment with an encouraging message I can pass on to Beartown Zodiac! You can also see more about the band at their website, or on their Facebook or Twitter accounts.

This giveaway will close at 10.59pm BST on Monday 13th May. Please tell me which prize you are interested in – local tickets or mailed goody bag. I will contact the winner of the gig tickets on Tuesday, 14th of May, so they have time to plan their evening out. The winner of the goody bag will be announced here on Thursday 16th of May.

If you don’t win the tickets and you do want to go to the gig, then you can email info (at) beartownzodiac (dot) co (dot) uk, and they will put your name on the door for £1 off the entry price – normally its £5 a ticket but you’d get it for £4. Plus, by emailing them in advance, you will get a goody bag when you arrive too!

Don’t forget that commenting on this post, and any other over this weekend, will count as an entry into the Grand Giveaway {NOW CLOSED}, but only if you’ve registered your interest in winning that prize right HERE!

See you again soon! x

  • Unfortunately I am unable to listen to the video (that is my fault not yours) so I can’t comment on how they sound but will revisit the video when I can as I would love to hear them especially as there is violin involved, infact they all seem to be playing stringed instruments ….cool! One of my friends was in a bad in our youth and it was great fun going to his gigs… good luck for the Bristol event xxx

  • I listened to the video and was really impressed with both the singing and song but also how you put the video together. Well done Jennifer!! It was very clever. As much as I would love an excuse to go to Bristol next weekend I am already committed so it would be the posted giveaway for me please if I was lucky enough to be picked. Wish Beartown Zodiac every success! It is lovely to see your friends go on to do bigger and better things.

I also couldn’t listen to the video but was able to watch it though. That was so cool. Also for some reason the photo of the goody bag is totally gray and won’t load. I suppose it’s my connection too slow. Anyway, I would love to come listen to them but am unable being I’m in the U.S. Good luck to them.

  • Love the soft sound of the vocals (reminds me a bit of Richard Hawley) the video is so fun and the music great. I wouldn’t be able to make it to Bristol but wish them every success with their future and hope to hear more from them soon 🙂

Great song and fun video! I wish I could make it to the gig- sounds like it’s going to be a fabulous show. Unfortunately I’m across the puddle so that’s not likely happen. Please wish them well for me though- if the rest of their music is like this (and I’m looking them up as I write to see if I can find more of their stuff), the show’s going to be great!
